On February 27, 2025, FIDEC USA hosted a special benefit concert to raise funds for our program providing comprehensive medical care to vulnerable rural communities and refugees from Artsakh across Armenia.
The evening featured stunning performances by mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian, the New Docta Ensemble, soprano Margarita Parsamyan, pianist Armen Martirosyan, and guest artists from the Sanctuary of the Arts Choreographic Ensemble.

Moving Forward to improve
healthcare in Armenia
In December 2023, Pablo Elmassian, Infectious Disease Specialist and Medical Director of FIDEC Armenia, ran 600 km in 14 days from Buenos Aires to Montevideo to raise funds for healthcare programs supporting vulnerable rural communities in Shirak and refugees displaced from Artsakh.
Results:
- The campaign raised $122,000, complemented by a generous donation from the Armenia Fund of Argentina.
- An additional $26,000 was raised during Argentina’s annual Fonatón.
- Funds provided six months of essential medications—antihypertensives, anticoagulants, and statins—for 600 patients with chronic diseases in Akhurik and Jajur.
